Carol Lynne Thornton Galindo, age 56, died in her home home in Austin on September, 2, 2016.  She was born in Port Sulfer, LA., on November 21 1959.

Carol was  graduate of Palestine High School Class of 1977.  She was a member of the Kit-Kat drill team and participated in a vocational ducats program  She graduated from the Corsicana school of nursing as an RN and worked for the Teas Criminal Justice facility at offend then at Palestine Regional Hospital.  Carol also works all over the United States as a travel nurse.

Carol was preceded in death by her son Christopher Ryan Galindo and her mother, Shirley M. Thornton.  She is survived by her father, James “Buddy” Thornton and her children, Rachel Galindo and John Galindo.

Carol donated her body for scientific research to the Science Cares Center.  A memorial service will be held on October 21, 2016, at 7p.m. at the Pint and Barrel in Old Town Palestine.
