Palestine High School Alumni Association

Services for Helen Holder Ray age 86 of Fort Worth and formerly of Palestine will be at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at Bailey & Foster Chapel with Dr. Woody Wilson officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.

Mrs. Ray died Thursday at Odyssey Hospice Unit in Fort Worth. She was born February 26, 1926 in Anderson County to Andrew Jackson and Carrie Rachael Littleton Holder. Mrs. Ray was a member of the Southside Baptist Church. She was homemaker. Mrs. Ray was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Cecil Ray in 2008, two grandchildren Scott Maxwell and Rhonda Maxwell, sisters, Dimple Lowry, and Jean Crafton, brothers, William “Bill” Holder and Carroll J. Holder.

She is survived by her daughters Helen Jeanette Maxwell and Beleta Jean Robbins both of Fort Worth, grandchildren Michael Scott, Christopher Scott, Keri Hardman and Shelli Branson, and numerous great grandchildren, a sister Geneva Bennett, and a sister-in-law Lela Holder both of Palestine.

Condolence calls will be received Tuesday 1 hour before the service.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
