Funeral services for James Hulen Holcomb, 85 of Palestine, will be held 1:00 PM Monday, February 17, 2014, at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home with Nolan D. Holcomb officiating. Burial will follow in County Line Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home Palestine.

Mr. Holcomb passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014 at his home. He was born October 14, 1928 in Anderson County to James Oza Holcomb and Montie Tamp Hanks Holcomb. He worked for Western Union thirty-six years, and was a member of Union United Methodist Church.

Mr. Holcomb was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Evelyn Sholden. He is survived by his wife Belva Lee Holcomb of Palestine, sons James Holcomb, Jr. and wife Debbie of Palestine, Jody Bill Holcomb and wife Lori of Duncanville, sister Hazel Marie Johnson and husband Conard of Winnsboro, brother Nolan Holcomb and wife Suzi of Washington State, five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Condolence calls will be received from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday, February 16, 2014, at Bailey & Foster Palestine.
