Harold Edward Gaddis – 1954

Harold Edward Gaddis entered into eternal rest on March 21, 2013 surrounded by loving and caring family members. Harold was born in Cheneyville, Louisiana on May 23, 1923 and raised in Tennessee Colony, Texas. Harold served his country in the Air Force during World War II. After the war ended, he worked in the oilfield which brought him to Louisiana again, where he met and married his wife, Nettie Matherne Gaddis on July 2, 1954.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Richard Gaddis and Vera L. Gaddis; his brothers, Johnny M. Gaddis and Melbur W. Gaddis; and nephew, Travis R. Richey. His only sister, Vera Jeanette Gaddis, passed away on Dec. 10, 2013.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Nettie Matherne Gaddis; daughter, Glenda Gaddis Allen (Scott), Daryl Richard Gaddis and Wade Alan Gaddis; granddaughter, Robyn K. Marshall; great-granddaughter, Alexis L. Marshall; sister-in-law, Vera L. Gaddis; nieces, Beth Ann Richey (Jim) and Paula K. Gibbs; nephew, James R. Gaddis (Elizabeth); and great-nephew, Westley R. Gaddis.
A funeral service for Harold will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 2014 at the Tennessee Colony Church in Tennessee Colony with John Wisener officiating.
A private family burial will take place immediately afterward at the Tennessee Colony Cemetery.
