Funeral services for Gary Hilton, 66, of Dallas, will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Tennessee Colony Church, with Pastor Glenn Meredith officiating. Burial will follow in Tennessee Colony Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Palestine.
Mr. Hilton passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014 in Richardson. He was born January 1, 1948 in Palestine, to Conray and Helen Fort Hilton. He was a DPS officer with the narcotics division and worked as a peace officer for 25 years. He was a member of Brookhaven Baptist Church in Dallas. Mr. Hilton was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Owen Ray Hilton.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Donna K. Hilton of Dallas, daughters; Jacquelyn Hilton and Jennifer Doss both of Dallas, sisters; Doris Newman of Dallas, Carol Lincoln of Dallas, Shirley Litel of Breckenridge, CO., Sandra Lowe of Temple, Pat Jones of Ft. Collins, CO., and Marilyn Moore of Palestine, brothers; Will Hilton of Dayton, Dwain Hilton of Athens and Mike Hilton of Dallas, five grandchildren, Chloe, Aidan, Logan, Lacie and Lexie Doss.
Pallbearers will be Mike Hilton, David Hilton, Ray Hilton, Brad Sutherlin, Kevin Sutherlin, Keith Lowe and Ben Newman. Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew Moore, Clinton Moore, Will Hilton, Dwain Hilton and DPS officers.
Condolence calls will be received from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at Bailey & Foster Palestine.
