Graveside services for Steven Doyle Freeman, 60, of Palestine will be at 2 pm Saturday, June 14, 2014, at Roselawn Park with Brandon Cowart officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Herrington / Land of Memory Funeral Home.

Steve passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at Palestine Regional Medical Center.

He was born May 23, 1954, in Henderson, Texas to James Freeman and Peggy Coker. He had lived in Palestine all his life and had worked for Walmart Distribution Center for over 30 years and also Bealls Department Store for many years. Steve was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy (Dottie) Freeman; step-father, Carroll Coker; and a nephew, Chris Toole.

Survivors include his father, James D. Freeman of Tatum and his wife Mavis; mother, Peggy D. Coker of Palestine; sons, Mark Freeman and wife Dawn of Palestine and Michael Woolweaver of Waco; daughter, Britni Marshall of Kilgore; brother, Ricky Freeman of Frankston; sister, Sondra Tyer of Palestine; 3 grandchildren, Caylin Freeman, Ashlyn Pabon, and Zaedin Woolweaver; and many nieces and nephews.

Condolence calls will be received from 6-8 pm on Friday, June 13, 2014, at Herrington / Land of Memory Funeral Home.
