Services for Gene Tilford Malloy, 50, of Palestine will be 2 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Greg Megill officiating.
Mr. Malloy died at Palestine Health Care. He was born April 28, 1950 in Palestine to David Coit Malloy, Sr. and Ruth Elizabeth Denton Malloy.
Mr. Malloy was self-employed in maintenance and as a landscaper. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his father.
Mr. Malloy is survived by his mother; daughters, Sarah Elizabeth Malloy of Galveston and Rebecca Malloy of Rusk; brothers, David Malloy and Richard Malloy, both of Palestine; and two grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to First United Methodist Church, 422 South Magnolia, Palestine, Texas, 75801; or to a charity of your choice.
