Services for Martha A. Calhoun, 39, of Palestine, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, in Buffalo City Cemetery with the Rev. Otis Felton officiating.  Burial will be under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.

Ms. Calhoun died this morning in Memorial Hospital.  She was born October 24, 1949, in Dallas, daughter of George and Mable Fields Calhoun.  She was a graduate of Palestine High School and Stephen F. Austin State University.  She had been a teacher in the home economics department of the Jacksonville Independent School District.  She was a member of St. Philips Episcopal Church in Palestine.

She is survived by her brothers, Charles Calhoun of Jacksonville, Kenneth Calhoun, Arthur Calhoun, and Hank Calhoun, all of Palestine.

Condolence calls will be received from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Larry Richards, Phillip Garcia, Richard Cox, Bob Benthall, Harold Campbell and H.V. Smith
