Graveside services for Rubena Marjorie Vickery, 90, of Palestine will be at10 am Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Chapel of the Air at Land of Memory Cemetery with Rev. Ray Prince officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Herrington / Land of Memory Funeral Home.
Mrs. Vickery passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013, at Trucare Living Centers of Palestine.
She was born October 2, 1922, in Palestine to Walter E. Mallard and Mollie King Mallard. Mrs. Vickery had lived here most of her life and was a homemaker. Mrs. Vickery was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Johnnie R. Vickery; her parents; brothers, Roy E. Mallard, Rufus R. Mallard, R.C. Mallard, and Ralph W. Mallard; and sisters, Ruthie Mae Warren and Ruby Oleta Mallard; and a daughter, Sharon Faye Manning.
She was survived by a daughter, Anita J. St. Clair; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Chris Manning, James Manning, Jerod Womach, and Doug Bradley.
Visitation will be 6-8 pm on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Herrington / Land of Memory Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Westwood United Methodist Church, 110 Ridgewood Drive, Palestine, TX 75803.
