Services for Donald Earl McNeill, 83, of Providence Village, Texas will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013 in the Chapel of Welch Funeral Home, 4619 Judson Road in Longview, with Dr. David Rakes officiating. The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rosewood Park.

Mr. McNeill died Friday, Feb. 1, 2013 at his residence.

He was born Aug. 17, 1929, in Palestine, Texas, to John and Rosa Nell Evans McNeill.

Mr. McNeill was a member of Texas National Guard and worked for United Gas as a measurement supervisor. He was also a member of First Baptist Church in Longview.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ruth McNeill; and siblings, Valle, Harold, Carroll and Floyd.

Mr. McNeill is survived by his son, David McNeill and wife, Lori of Providence Village; four grandchildren, Hannah, Benjamin, Mary Kathryn, and Sam-uel McNeill of Providence Village; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family.
