Services for Edward L. Mack, 82, of Palestine, will be at 1 p.m.  Saturday at Bailey & Foster Chapel with the Rev. Max Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Creek Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.

Mr. Mack died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013 at his residence. He was born Dec. 21, 1930 to Tucker and Estelle Mack.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Martha Johnson Mack; son, Richard (Ricky) Mack; and a sister, Lois Mack.

He is survived by his granddaughter, Rikki Leigh Mack of Groesbeck; grandson, Tucker Cheyne Mack of Lubbock; and six great-grandchildren.

Mr. Mack graduated from Palestine High School and married his sweetheart, Martha Johnson, and began his married life as a Palestine fireman. He later moved his family to the Texas coast where he made his living in the shrimp industry, having two shrimp boats of his own. Upon retirement he and Martha moved back to Palestine.

The Mack family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bailey & Foster.

Pallbearers will be Alberto Molina, Frank Molina, Tucker Mack, Raul Luna, Darrell Mack and Johnny Titlow.
