Services for Tony E. Dressell age 76 of Palestine will be held Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Msgn. Zach officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Park. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 P.M. Tuesday. Visitation will begin at 5:00 P.M. Tuesday before the rosary. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.

Mr. Dressell died Saturday at Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler. He was born September 29, 1936 in Palestine to Tony and Verna Huggins Dressell. Mr. Dressell was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was the owner and operator of Hardin Oil Company. He graduated from Sam Houston State University where he played on the football team. Mr. Dressell was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Barbara Melton, and two brothers, Donald Dressell and Paul Dressell.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jan Hardin Dressell of Palestine, daughter Mendy Dressell Wright and husband Lyle, children Garrett and Brooke of Liberty Hill, sons, Tony Wayne Dressell and wife Liz and children Draydon, Landon, and Brendan of Grapevine, Robert Hardin Dressell and wife Christy and children Abby and Will of Tyler, a sister Joe Ella Hackett of Palestine.

Pallbearers will be Mark Bourassa, David Bourassa, David Banks, Hugh Dublin, Charles Griffey, Chris Kenner, Doug Smith, and W.J. Ingram. Honorary pallbearers will be Alex Kobar, Don Woods, Eddie Williamson, John Schwab, and Donald Gresham. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Vincent De Paul or a charity of choice.
