Funeral services for Shirley Ann Weeks, 77, of Lufkin, will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012 in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Steve Killam officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mrs. Weeks was born Dec. 27, 1934 in Palestine, Texas to the late Janie Lucille (Albright) and Frank Leroy Killebrew. She died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012 at her residence.

Mrs. Weeks was a homemaker and a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was an active member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. She loved her church, and read for the quilters at the church. Mrs. Weeks loved to crochet, and she loved to talk. Formerly of Palestine, she had lived in Lufkin for the past 45 years.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Raymond Weeks of Lufkin; children and their spouses, Richard and Vikki Weeks of Diboll, Charles Riddle of Lufkin, Allan and Kim Riddle of Lufkin, Theresa and Mike Fulton of Hudson, Debbie and Larry Williams of Mer Rouge, La., Claude Riddle of Lufkin, Frank Riddle of Lovelady, and Mona and Jason Havard of Lufkin; special granddaughter, Gracie Weeks of Lufkin; sister, Barbara Killebrew Butler of Livingston; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and other relatives.

Preceding her in death were her parents; sisters, Wanda Killebrew and Marilyn Vanessa Killebrew; granddaughter, Renee Williams Spear; daughter-in-law, Kathi Riddle; and stepson, Morris Weeks.

Pallbearers will be Lester Glaze, Ray Glaze, Larry Williams, Joe Mendoza, Ken McPherson and Kenny Riddle.

Honorary pallbearers are Gary Jenkins and Daryl Stringer.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 1505 S. John Redditt Dr., Lufkin, Texas 75904.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home in Lufkin.

 Even though Shirley did not finish her education at PHS, she was considered a part of the PHS Class of 1952.
