Services for Carol Coleman Hawthorne of Mineola and formerly of Palestine will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Lake Country Bible church in Mineola with Craig Lacy officiating.  Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. in North Creek Cemetery in Oakwood under the direction of English Funeral Home in Mineola.

Mrs. Hawthorne died Sunday at her residence after a lengthy illness.  She was born July 27, 1943 in Palestine, daughter of Gladys Wooley Ross and R.C. Coleman.  She was a graduate of Palestine High School and a member of Lake County Baptist Church in Mineola.

She is survived by her husband, Herbert Ray Hawthorne of Mineola; daughter, Candace Ann Boot Wells of Mineola; and her mother, Gladys Wooley Ross of Palestine.

Condolence calls will be received at 1102 E. Brazos Street, Palestine.

Pallbearers will be Blackie Edmondson, Tommy O’Neil, Dan Ray, Charles Ripley, John Kuster, Don DeGroat, Ferris Padgett, Carl Lacy and Fred Conger.
