Services for Lily Dawn Stratton, 45, of Palestine, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Herrington / Land of Memory Chapel with Dan Manuel and Rev. John Marcum officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Herrington / Land of Memory Funeral Home.
Mrs. Stratton died Sunday in Cherokee County. Mrs. Stratton had lived in Palestine most of her life. She was a 1977 graduate of Palestine High School and a member of Southside Baptist Church. She has been owner and operator of Mane Attraction Hair Salon and currently was working for Hair Works and Anderson County Sheltered Workshop. Mrs. Stratton had served on the board of the Palestine United Way and was a member of the Business and Professional Women’s Club.
She is survived by son, Stephen Batts of Grand Prairie; daughter, Misty Batts of Bryan – College Station; father and stepmother, Ray and Pat Fox of Palestine; mother, Pauline Stratton of Fort Worth; brothers, David Fox, Larry Fox and Alan Fox, all of Palestine, and Nolen Fox of Elkhart; sisters, Shirely Petrovich and Teresa Carnell both of Palestine.
Pallbearers will be Cody Carnell, Larry Fox, Jr., Jacob Fox, Chris Fox, Josh Fox and Buck Pitts.
Vivistion will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the Anderson County Sheltered Workshop.
