Services for Paul Scott, 83, of Palestine, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Bailey & Foster Chapel with Dr. Barry Roberts and Jim Pendland officiating.  Burial will follow at Palestine City Cemetery with full Masonic rites and military honors from Barksdale Air Force Base.

Mr. Scott died Friday at his residence.  He was born January 21, 1915, in Palestine to Henry D. and Ida H. Bowe Scott.  Mr. Scott graduated from Palestine High School in 1933 and the University of Houston.  He was a retired master sergeant from the U.S. Air Force, a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict.  He was a Mason and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Mildred Blanton Scott, in 1988; and sisters, Edythe Scott Stowers, Louise Scott Warton and Marguerite Scott.

He is survived by a niece, Jeanne Stowers Galvan of Corpus Christi; nephew, Robert Stowers of Houston; two grand-nieces and two grand nephews.

Condolence cals will be received from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
