Clarence Rosson, owner and operator of the Rosson Lumber and Manufacturing Company here, died at 2:15 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was 61. Mr. Rosson was born in Palestine and graduated from Palestine High School in 1931.
Funeral services are to be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Bailey Memorial Chapel with Rev. Olen Cantrell officiating. Burial will follow in New Addition Cemetery.
Mr. Rosson is survived by his widow, Mrs. Alma Fortson Rosson of Palestine; daughter, Charlotte Frances of Palestine; three grandchildren; brothers, D.B. Rosson of Dallas, Maurice Rosson and Delbert Rosson, both of Palestine; sister, Mrs. E.F. Schupbach of Ennis.
Pallbearers will be Henry Jordan, Hub Garrison, Henry Leon, Oliver Davis, Logan Hafner, Virgil Thurston, Robert Jordan and James Evans.
Honorary pallbearers will be Vaughan Ward, Alvin Temple, Vernon Rister, Jeffrey Meyers, Howard Rainwater, Lloyd Evans, Homer Wilson, Frank Mahr, Alvie Rogers and all other friends.
