Graveside services for Marie Ramsey, 82, of Palestine will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Chapel of the Air at Land of Memory Cemetery with Danny Dean officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Herrington / Land of Memory Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ramsey died Friday at Greebrier Nursing and Rehab Center.  She was born June 14, 1926 in Grapeland to Wilford and Winona Morris Luce.  She was raised by Collie Morris and was a 1944 graduate of Palestine High School.  She was a member of North Jackson Baptist Church.  She was retired from the Union Pacific Railroad, having worked in the claims office.  She was a great mom.

Survivors include sons, Jerry Fred Oden of Gilbert, Arizona, David Ramsey of Palestine of Palestine and Donnie Ramsey of Manchaca; brother, Harold Morris of Mineola; five grandchildren and five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Franks, Danny Harper and Judge Dwight Phifer.

Memorials may be made to Lon Morris College in Jacksonville or to the Hospice of East Texas.

Family and friends are invited to lunch at the North Jackson Baptist Church following the funeral service.
