Services for Ruby Phillips, 76, of Haltom City and formerly of Palestine, were held at 2 p.m. today at Chapel of the Air at Land of Memory Cemetery with Rev. Robert J. Pase officiating.

Mrs. Phillips died Tuesday in Rowlett.  She was born July 14, 1921 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Bart B. and Lydia Rosson McCan.  Mrs. Phillips was reared in Palestine and graduated from Palestine High School in 1937.  She lived in Haltom City the last two years and in Tarrant County for 27 years.  She was a Lutheran and a homemaker.

Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her husband, Paul K. Phillip, Jr. on October 14, 1997.

She is survived by a daughter, Phyllis Phillips Adams of Fort Worth; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
