Services for Rosa Paul McGaughy, 84, of Denton and formerly of Palestine will be at 10 a.m. Friday at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton with Rev. Carroll Caddell officiating.  Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Palestine City Cemetery with Rev. Robert Webb officiating.

Mrs. McGaughy died Wednesday at Denton Regional Medical Center in Denton.  A native of Palestine, she was born June 14, 1910 to A.C. and Nellie Paul.  She was retired from Russell’s Department Store in Denton.

Mrs. McGaughy was a 1927 graduate of Palestine High Schol and a member of Cooper Creek United Methodist Church in Denton.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Ruel McGaughy; and brothers, Herbert O. Paul, Albert C. Paul and Cage Paul.

She is survived by her niece, Julie Murray of Palestine; great-niece; and great-nephew.
