Services for Mrs. Wayne Elizabeth Weatherly Koehne, 59, of Tyler, formerly of Palestine will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home with Rev. Mel Newman officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Park.
Mrs. Koehne died Thursday morning in her home after a lengthy illness. She was born October 28, 1928, daughter of Lawrence Barrett Weatherly and Margaret Lillian Rogers Weatherly. She was a Lutheran, a 1946 graduate of Palestine High School, and also a graduate of the former Nixon Business College here. She had worked in the freight claim department of Missouri Pacific Railroad. She was preceded in death by her parents and by a sister, Jean Weatherly Harding.
Survivors include her husband, August Koehne, Jr., of Tyler; daughter, Rebecca Kennon of Midlothian; son, Martin Wayne Koehne of Tyler; sisters, Mary Jo Graham of Houston, Ann Davis of Palestine; two granddaughters; and nieces and nephews.
Condolence calls will be received from 7 -8 p.m. today at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
