Services for August Koehne, Jr., 76 of Flint, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Roselawn Park with Rev. Gregory Megill officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.

Mr. Koehne died Tuesday afternoon at his residence.  He was born November 19, 1924, in Mart to August Koehne, Sr. and Clara Reichardt Koehne.  Mr. Koehne graduated from Palestine High School in 1942 and received his bachelor of science degree in 1962 at University of Texas.  He was a pharmacist.  He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1799 and the Lutheran Church.  He served in the 22nd Marine Division in 1942 – 1946, Pacific Theatre during World War II.

Mr. Koehne was preceded in death by his wife, Wayne Elizabeth Koehne in 1988.

He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Lynn Kennon of Amarillo; son, Martin Wayne Koehne of Flint; sister, Pauline Liles of Taylor; and two grandchildren.

Condolence calls will be received from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
