Services for Mary Gooch Collins Kerns, 76, of Orlando, FL., a Palestine native, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at East Hill Cemetery with the Rev. David Price officiating.  Burial will be under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.

Mrs. Kerns died Wednesday in Orlando.  She was born September 14, 1913, in Palestine, daughter of Darwin and Irma Gooch Collins.  She was a former member of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church where she was lesson leader for St. Mary’s Guild.  She was also a former employee of Knox Glass Company and a 1930 graduate of Palestine High School.

After moving to Houston, she was an executive secretary for an engineering firm.  In 1984, she moved to Orlando, where she was affiliated with the Cathedral Church of St. Lukes.  She was preceded in death by her husband, George P. Kerns on August 10, 1981.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary Frances Garner of Orlando; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
