Services for William F. “Bill” Hoppers, 78, of Palestine, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Herrington / Land of Memory chapel with Bob Pickle, Danny Sidders and Carroll Holmes officiating. Burial will follow in Land of Memory Cemertery under the direction of Herrington / Land of Memory Funeral Home.
Mr. Hoppers died Monday at his home. He was born May 17, 1920 in Lindale to Floyd Douglas and Eula Taylor Happers. He had lived in Palestine most of his life. Mr. Hoppers was a member of the Court Drive Church of Christ and was retired from the highway department. He served in the Army in Wold War II.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Hoppers of Palestine; son, Billy Hoppers of College Station; sister, Lois Hoppers of Palestine; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Roger Henderson, Ross Rogers, Mark Salter, Lee Fedora, William King, Bob Dennis, German Guillen and Donnie Knott.
Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
