Funeral services for Mrs. Natalie Dobbs Elrod, 82, of Palestine will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Hassell & Foster Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Leediker officiating.  Burial will be in Palestine City Cemetery.

Mrs. Elrod died Wednesday in Anderson County Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.  A retired teacher, she had taught in Alamo School in Palestine and a number of years in the Houston Independent School District.  She was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her children, Effie Jean and Edmund Furley of Houston; three grandchildren, Jennie and Dr. Ralph Depee of St. Louis, MO., Marian Lutz Kirk of The Woodlands and Kathleen and Tom Carlson of Houston; two nephews, Dr. Charles Eugene Dobbs of Sugarland and Robert Dobbs of McAllen and three great-grandchildren.

Condolence calls may be made from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Hassell & Foster Funeral Home.
