Funeral services for Morgan Buckner, 22 of Old Elkhart Road, were held at 2 p.m. today in the Hassell & Foster Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darwin Scott and Rev. Thomas J. Monroe officiating.  Burial was in Roselawn Park.

Mr. Buckner was prounced dead on arrival Saturday at the Henderson County Memorial Hospital in Athens, after he apparently stepped on some electrical power line wires near New Caney in Henderson County.

He was born January 16, 1959 in Henderson.  A 1977 graduate of Palestine High School, he served in the Marine Corps for three years.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church, and was employed as a house mover.

Survivors include his father, Doyle Buckner of Palestine; his mother, Sylvia Mixon Gotcher of Longview; grandparents, Mrs. Frankie Yandle of Henderson and Mr. and Mrs. Archie Mixon of Cushing; three brothers, Taylor Buckner, Drew Buckner and Brent Buckner, all of Longview.
