Services for Wiliam Arthur Biehler, 76, of Waxahachie and formerly of Palestine will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Palestine City Cemetery with Andy Andrews officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie.
Mr. Biehler died Tuesday at his residence. He was born March 5, 1922, in Palestine to Carl Thomas and Ruby Peck Biehler.
Mr. Biehler graduated from Palestine High School and attended Texas A&M. He served one tour of duty in the U.S. Army and one tour of duty in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He moved to Waxahachie in 1939 where he worked at the Texas Theater as projection operator until 1941. He was a salesman and branch manager for Sepco Industries of Irving for 34 years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Palmer where he was Lay Leader, served on the finance and grounds committee and completed other duties at the church.
Mr. Biehler was preceded in death by brother, Carl T. Biehler, Jr.; and sisters, Dorothy Biehler and Vallie Calahan.
He is survived by his wife or 49 years, Sallie Jane Biehler of Waxahachie; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
