Graveside services for George A. Herrington, 64 of Houston will be at 3:30 p.m. in New Addition Annex Cemetery with Rev. Lynn Parker officiating.  Friends may call at Hassell & Foster Funeral Home Saturday before services.

Mr. Herrington died Thursday night at his home.  He was born in Anderson County March 8, 1917, son of Mrs. Mary Sammons Herrington and late George Carlton Herrington.  He was a 1935 graduate of Palestine HIgh School and attended the University of Texas.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Palestine and an Air Force veteran of World War II.  Before moving to Houston 13 years ago, he had been employed at Boening Aircraft and worked in seismograph exploration.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Mary S. Herrington of Palestine; brother, Harry C. Herrington of Palestine; sister. Orline DuPree of Palestine; five nephews, niece and six great-nephews and nieces.
