Services for Raymond Frantzen, 84, of Palestine, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home with Dr. Richard Waters officiating.  Burial will be at Roselawn Park.

Mr. Frantzen died Monday evening at Trinity Valley Medical Center.  He was born September 21, 1910 in Fredericksburg, to Harry C. and Louisa Lange Frantzen.  Mr. Frantzen was a partner in Frantzen Brothers Grocery for more than 30 years, a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Army in the Pacific, and a member of the Congregational Church, although he attended First Baptist Church in Palestine for many years.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Frantzen in 1985 and Andrew Frantzen in 1987.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Moser Frantzen of Palestine; son, Glen Frantzen of Quito, Ecuador; daughter, Harriet Westmoreland of Tyler; sister, Rynie Holderfled of Winona; and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Errol Coker, Tom Moseley, Larry Frantzen, Don Frantzen, Andrew Moseley, David Justice, Terry Batsel and Bert Carpenter.

Condolence calls will be received from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
