Services for Elizabeth Link Fish, 94, of Palestine, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church with Rev. Mike Glenn officiating.  Burial will follow in the New Addition Cemetery under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.

Mrs. Fish died Sunday morning at Cartmell Home for the Aged.  She was born December 30 1906 in Palestine to Dr. Edwin William and Mary Manning Link.  Mrs. Fish was married to Eugene R. Fish, Sr., president of the Royall National Bank.  She was a member of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church where she taught Sunday school, was active in the Women’s Guild  and the Altar Guild.

Mrs. Fish graduated from Palestine High School in 1922 and Randolph Macon College in Lynchburg, VA., in 1927 where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi and May Queen.  She taught at Rusk Elementary School.  She was a charter member of the Harvey Women’s Club, the Dogwood Garden Club and served with the Gray Ladies Volunteer Group.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1966; son, Eugene R. Fish, Jr.; brothers, Edwin Link and Henry Link; and sister, Hypatia Link.

Mrs. Fish is survived by daughter Ann Welty of Emerald Bay and Sewickley, PA; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Frank George, Steve Sutton, C.L. Kolstat, III, James hunt, Tucker Royall, Henry Link, Ed Link and Larry O’Neill.

Honorary pallbearers will be H. Carnathan and John R. Royall.

Condolence calls will be received from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Elizabeth Fish Fund at Cartmell Home or charity of your choice.
