Funeral services for James Warren 83 of Palestine, will be held 1:00 PM Thursday at Bailey & Foster Chapel with Rev. Max Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Wheelock Cemetery in Flo, in Leon County Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Palestine.
Mr. Warren passed away Monday at Cartmell Home for the Aged. He was born February 22, 1929 in Anderson County to Genie Toombs Warren and Ora Curlee Johnston Warren. He worked for Knox Glass Container for 37 years. He served in the United States Army. Mr. Warren was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Juanita Forshee and brothers; Buck, Buddy, W.G. and Connie Warren.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years Laura Dale Warren of Palestine, daughter Cathy Hunter, brother Charles Warren of Palestine, two grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
Condolence calls will be received from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Bailey & Foster Palestine.
