Services for Eva Lucille Smith, 63, of Grapeland, will be at 4 p.m. today at Guiceland Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Caskey officiating.  Burial is under the direction of Herrington / Land of Memory.

Mrs. Smith died Monday at Trinity Valley Medical Center.  She was born on July 17, 1933, in Palestine, to Percy Hall and Lula Hardin Smith.  She was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Anderson and Houston counties.  She was a Protestant.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, T.A. Smith in 1993.

She is survived by her son, Thomas C. Smith, of Grapeland, daughters, Patricia Cox of North Richland Hills and Deborah Caveness of Grapeland; brother, Paxton Smith of Palestine; sister, Pauline Detmore of Houston; and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be A.D. Smith, Philip Smith, David Smith, Curt Caveness, George Taylor and Prentis McShan.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
