A. R. “Arty” Sepulveda, 37, of Palestine, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Harold Paulsen officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery under the direction of Herrington / Land of Memory. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Sepulveda died Wednesday in a car accident near Tyler. He was born in Luling on July 14, 1959 to Arthur and Janie Gonzales Sepulveda. He worked 17 years for Union Pacific Railroad. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mr. Sepulvada lived here all of his life and was a 1977 Graduate of Palestine High School.
He is survived by his wife, Debby Sepulveda of Palestine; sons, Noah Sepulveda of Whitehouse and Nelson Cheyenne Sepulveda of Palestine; stepson, Nicholas Modisette of Lufkin; daughter, Amanda Sepulveda of Whitehouse; stepdaughter, Gretchen Bailes of Palestine; his parents, both of Palestine; brothers, Carlos A. Sepulveda of Palestine and Marcos A. Sepulveda of Leona; and his grandmother, Nicolasa Gonzales of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Kubara, Tim Dunnam, Richard Schwab, Morris Whiteside, Mike Camacho, Jr. and Danny Fletcher. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Bryant and the Palestine High School Class of 1977.
Condolence calls will be received this evening at the funeral home following the rosary service until 9 p.m.
