Services for Lawrence M. Selden, 86, of Palestine, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home with Dr. Jeff Cover officiating.  Burial will be at Roselawn Park.

Mr. Selden died this morning at Memorial Mother Frances Hospital.  He was born in Palestine on April 22, 1910 to Grosvenor and Clara Etta Geaton Selden.  He owned and operated Selden Shade Shop for 20 years and also Flournoy’s Furniture Store for 20 years.  Mr. Selden was a life member of First Presbyterian Church in Palestine and the Men’s Bible Class.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Selden of Palestine; son, Ronald Selden of Sugarland; brothers, Harry B. Selden of Palestine and Bobby Selden; and one grandson.

Pallbearers will be Jack Selden, Larry Selden, Don Selden, Harry Selden, Jr., Worth Andrews and Grover Selden Jr.  Honorary pallbearers will be the Men’s Bible Class of First Presbyterian Church.

Condolence calls will be received from 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
