Services for Donovan F. Moore, 71 of Palestine, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home with Dr. Jeff Cover officiating.  Burial will be in Land Of Memory Cemetery.

Mr. Moore died Tuesday in a Tyler nursing home.  He was born on January 27, 1925.  He was a lifelong resident of Palestine.  At the time of his retirement, he was a store keeper for TU Electric.  He also was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Navy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Elizabeth Rees Moore; and his father, Donovan Franklin Moore, Sr.

He is survived by his mother, Ora Lillian Evans O’Skeen of Orlando, FL.; daughters, Mrs. Les (Donna) Dietz of Flint and Mrs. Travis (Karen) Black of Round Rock; sister, Patsy Estes of Del Ray Beach, FL; and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Merle Smith, Harold Dietz, Bryon McFarland, Ed Cordell, Eric Dietz and Danny andrews.

Condolence calls will be received from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
