A memorial service for Sallie Francis Boswell, longtime Palestine resident, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 23 at Evangelistic Temple, located at 3011 N. Loop 256 in Palestine, Texas. Pastor Jason Harris and Associate Pastor Bob Laird will be officiating.

Sallie went home to be with her Lord on May 25, 2012. A private burial service reserved for the family will take place at a future date.

Sallie was preceded in death by her husband of 15 years, Foy E. Boswell; three brothers, Joe and Robert, both of Palestine, and John of Dallas; sisters, Winnie Duncan and Nelda Coker.

Sallie is survived by brothers, Ed Francis of Palestine and Paul Francis of Dallas; and sister, Betty Turner of Rockport, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

Sallie worked at different restaurants including the Hamburger Bar in Palestine. She also worked at Braten Drug Store, part of Old Town Palestine.

The family is grateful to Palestine Health Care Center, Greenbrier Nursing Center and Heart to Heart Hospice of Tyler for the care extended to Sallie.
