Services for Wayne Harrison, 88, of Palestine, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home with Reb. Dutch Conditt officiating.  Burial will be at New Addition Annex Cemetery with services conducted by Palestine Lodge No. 31 AF&AM.

Mr. Harrison died Sunday in Palestine.  He was born on November 7, 1907 in Palestine to Albon and Ethel Burks Harrison.  Prior to returning to Palestine in 1991, he lived in Andrews for 35 years and retired to Llano in 1978.

He was a member of Swanson Hill Community Church, Palestine Masonic Lodge No. 31 AF&AM, Texas Society of Professional Engineers, Society of Professional Engineers, Society of American Military Engineers and Texas Land Surveyors.  He served in the U.S. Navy Seabees in World War II.

Mr. Harrison is survived by his wife, Lila Harrison of Palestine; daughter, Mrs. J. Frank (Pat) Davis of Houston; son, Wayne Harrison Jr of Lake Jackson; sister, Marie Waggoner of Palestine; brother, Milford Harrison of Palestine; four grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mark Davis, Steve Davis, Jeff Davis, Billy Harrison, Jim Mattox and Graham Griffin.  Honorary pallbearers will be Howard Waggoner, Milford Harrison, Bill Hogan and Jack Brown.

Condolence calls will be received from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of East Texas.
