Lyda Helm Eaves 1921
Services for Lyda Eaves, 85, of Palestine, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Palestine City Cemetery with the Rev. Juan Trevino officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Herrington Land of Memory. Mrs.. Eaves died Monday at the Cartmell Home after a sudden illness.
She was born August 7, 1904, in Palestine, a daughter of John B. and Clarinda Lacy Helm. She was a lifelong resident of Palestine, a member of First Presbyterian Church, Daughters of the Republic of Texas, Dogwood Garden Club, Harvey Woman’s Club and the Women of the Presbyterian church.
Her husband, W.A. Eaves, preceded her in death in 1976.
She is survived by her daughter, Clare Robbins of Clemson, S.C.; two grandsons; four great-grandchildren; and a nephew.
Condolences will be received from 7 – 8 p.m. today at the funeral Home.
