Services for Lena Mae Roquemore Sims, 88, Palestine, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at New Addition Annex Cemetery with Dr. Richard Waters officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.

Mrs. Sims died this morning at Memorial Southwest Hospital in Houston.  She was born March 31, 1907 in Palestine to Walter Clayton and Lena Mae Hunt Roquemore.  She was a member of First Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Mrs. Sims was preceded in death by her husband, John W. “Jack” Sims on September 19, 1984.

She is survived by a son, Steve Sims of Houston; sister, Mary Cox of Palestine; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
