Imogene was the daughter of Leo Milton and Carrie L. Ezell Wardell. Her parents are buried in Holly Springs Cemetery. She married Jerry Clinton Adair. Jerry is buried in Providence Church Cemetery with his second wife, Helen. Imogene was a life-long resident of Anderson County. She was residing in the Bois d’Arc community at the time of her sudden death in Athens, TX.

She was survived by her husband, Jerry; her parents; and three brothers, Coy Wardell and Leslie Wardell, both of Bois d’Arc and L.C. Wardell of San Antonio.

Her obituary was published in the Palestine Herald-Press, Wednesday, 20 July 1960.
