Graveside services for D.B. Wakefield, Jr., 79 of Friendswood, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at palestine Cemetery under the direction of Niday Funeral Home in Houston.  Mr. Wakefield died Friday at his home.

He was born June 10, 1913, in Palestine.  He was an employee of Sinclair Refining Company for 37 years.  He was a member of Friendswood United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Latane L. Wakefield of Friendswood; daughter, Sharon W. James of Friendswood; sister-in-law, Constance H. Wakefield of Palestine; and two grandchildren.
