Funeral mass for Evelyn Shaid Miller, 78 of Palestine will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Ted Rydelek officiating.  Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.  A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home with Rev. Rydelek officiating.  Mrs. Miller died Wednesday in Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler.

She was born November 9, 1914 in Anderson County to Coy and Lena Farrish Shaid.  Mrs. Miller was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she belonged to the Sacred Heart Altar Society, the Care & Share Society and the Share the Word Bible Study Group.  Mrs. Miller also was a member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary and the R.C. I.A.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Paul Miller, on June 6, 1986.

Mrs. Miller is survived by her daughters, Peggy Moore of Tyler, Vicky Miller and Susan Clark, both of Houston; four grandsons and two granddaughters; and three great-grandsons.

Pallbearers will be David Bunch, Frank Schwab, John Schwab, David Farrow, Dwayne Morris and Larry York.
