Services for Ruth Koepnick 81, of Palestine will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Mike Vestal, Tom Potts and Max Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in Roselawn Park.  Mrs. Koepnick died Friday in Bossier City, LA.

She was born in Palestine on January 31, 1911 a daughter of the late William H. Heath and Carrie Frances Kiser Heath.  She was a member of the Walston Springs Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Alfred Oscar Max Koepnick Sr. on April 7, 1978.

She is survived by daughters, Lucille Weisinger and Marjorie Gibson both of Grapeland, Marilyn Gibbons of Houston, Merle Baldree of Palestine, Harriette Johnson of Bossier City, LA., Patricia Little of Austin and Rhoshel Hopper of Elkhart; sons, Max Koepnick of Arizona and Harrison Koepnick of Houston; step-children Norman Koepnick of Palestine, F.B. Koepnick of Crockett, M.B. Koepnick of Schulenberg and Gertrude Thrash of Houston; 22 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons-in-law

Condolence calls will be received from 7 – 9 p.m. today at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
