Oscar Roy “Slick” Bomer was born April 20, 1938 in Palestine, Texas.  He passed away July 10, 2008, in Dallas, Texas at the age of 70.

Roy retired from Lucent Technologies after 33 years of dedicated employment.  He then started a new journey and worked with many wonderful people he considered his friends at Lute Riley Honda.  He was preceded in death by his parents, ER and Bessie Bomer.

“Slick” is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 38 years, Sharon Bomer; children, Mark Bomer, Marcy Montelongo and husband, Junior, Michael Bomer, and Brad Allen; grandchildren, Zachery Bomer, Braeden Bomer, Jeremie Bomer, Isaac Allen, Xavier Montelongo, Devon Montelongo, Makayla Bomer, Jaylen Bomer, Shaun Allen and Shane Allen; brother, Elton Bomer and wife Kim.  Roy has many nieces, nephews, extended family friends and many-in-laws that he leaves behind.

We will all miss him more than words can express.

Visitation will be Friday, July 11 from 6 – 9 p.m. at Laurel Oaks Funeral Home, Mesquite.  Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 12 at Laurel Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Middlebrook officiating.  Interment will follow at Laurel Oaks Memorial Park in Mesquite.
