Services for George R. Locke, 85, of Palestine will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home with Revs. Otis Felton and Ray Biggerstaff officiating.  Burial will be in New Addition Cemetery.  Mr. Locke died Monday in a nursing home.

He was born in Tennessee on May 26, 1906 to Samuel A. and Osee Stembridge Locke.  He was a self-employed master plumber and a member of the Plumbers Union.  He has lived in Palestine for 75 years and was a member of First Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Virginia Moore, and a son, Kerron Moore.

He is survived by his wife, Johnnie Moore Locke of Palestine; sons, Proctor Moore of Palestine and Joe Moore of Florida; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be George Moore, Kelley Moore, Mike Moore, Bobby Moore, Mike Johnson and Jon Bullock.
