Graveside services for John Paul Graham, 71, of Palestine were at 4 p.m. today at Palestine City Cemetery under the direction of Herrington Land of Memory Funeral Home.

Mr. Graham passed away Wednesday at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler.  He was born September 1938 in Breckenridge to the late John and Louise Dena Clak O’Dell.

Mr. Graham was retired from the Rust State Hospital.  He had served in the U.S. Navy.  He was preceded in death by a son, James N. Graham in January, 2004.

Mr. Graham is survived by his wife of 48 years, Venita Wanda Graham, two sons, John Rodrick and Crystal Graham, Alan Clint and Dawn Graham; daughter, April Louise and Mark Majors all of Palestine; and numerous grandchildren.
