Services for Frances Taylor Johnson, 78, of Palestine, will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at New Addition Annex under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.  Mrs. Johnson died Sunday at a Palestine hospital.  She was born in Palestine on March 14, 1915 to Dr. Frank and Vera Quaintance Taylor.  She was a member of First United Methodist Church, past president and life member of United Methodist Women, charter member and pas president of Meleterion Study Club, charter member of Harvey Woman’s Club and a member of Pioneer Garden Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard W. Johnson, Sr.,; brother, Dr. Frank W. Taylor , and sister, Ethel Taylor Young.

She is survived by her son, Willard W. Johnson, Jr. of Palestine; sister, Katherine Kilstad of Palestine; and two granddaughters.

Pallbearers will be C.L. Kolstad III, Hartley Young, Randolph Young, Robert M. Johnson, Ted Welty, Mike Dear and Bill Taylor.

Condolence calls will be received from 5 – 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
