Services for Barbara Lee Boyd Hodges, 60 of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at New Addition Cemetery with the Rev. David W. Price officiating.  Mrs. Hodges died Saturday at her daughter’s home  in Midland.  She was born in Houston on March 1, 1931 to James (Jakie) L. and Arlie Mae Hiser Boyd.

She attended Palestine schools, and while residing here, was co-owner of Modern Dance Studio.  She later received a master’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University.  She was associated with the Nacogdoches and Athens school systems and later retired from Riverside Publishing Company.  While in Palestine she was a member of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. David W. (Lisa) Marcum of Midland; sons, Don Hodges III of West Hartford, Connecticut, and Dr. Kurt Boyd Hodges of Dallas; their father, Don Hodges Jr. of Palestine; brother James Lee Boyd III of Fallbrook, CA.; and two grandchildren.
