Services for Bobbie Jayne Hardgrave 72, of Palestine will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Jeff Cover and Rev. David Price officiating. Burial will be in New Addition Cemetery under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home. Miss Hardgrave died Sunday in Trinity Valley Medical Center.
She was born March 31, 1920 in Palestine to Fredrick Newton and Carrie Nell Davis Hardgrave. A daughter of a pioneer Palestine family, Miss Hardgrave was a member of First Presbyterian Church and its Women’s Circle. She also was a member of Harvey Woman’s club and the Brotherhood of Railroad Clerks. Before retiring, she worked as a claims clerk for Missouri – Pacific Railroad. Miss Hardgrave was preceded in death by a brother Billy Fred Hardgrave on December 24, 1972.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Helen Hardgrave of Palestine; and nieces Nancy Kiser, Patricia Johnson, Marilyn Johnston, Peggy Ingram and Linda McDonald, all of Palestine.
Pallbearers will be Raleigh McDonald, Joe Ed Johnston, Bill Ingram, Mike Kizer, Don Davis, Johnny Davis, Cam Davis and Jack Davis.
