Services for Katherine Elizabeth Anderson, 89, of Denton, and formerly of Palestine, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at New Addition Annex with Dr. Bill Newcomb officiating.  Burial will be under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.

Mrs. Anderson died Wednesday at Lake Forest Good Samaritan Village in Denton.  She was born in Palestine August 22, 1905 to Leland and Mary Mallard Douthit.  She was a teacher in the Palestine school district, and a member of First United Methodist Church in Palestine.

Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her husband, Emery Eugene Anderson in 1961.

She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Fagon of Denton; and three grandchildren.
